The new unit is so much quieter, cleaner, and better at cooling
I am not a handy person at all. When something is broken, I have to call a handyman. If I need service or installation, I need a professional. When my air conditioner just stopped working, I replaced the air filter. That was the extent of my knowledge and capability. After that, I knew I needed an AC business in Palm Bay, FL to help me out. The AC contractor came in and looked at my unit. He told me the thing was toast. It was all burned out and too many parts needed to be replaced. He quoted me the price and it was super high. I realized that buying a new unit actually would be cheaper, especially when I considered the energy savings I get each month on a new device. So I let them talk me into a new installation in Palm Bay. I choose to just replace my existing central AC with a newer model. I already had the ductwork and gave up the space in my closet. The guy then was able to install the indoor air handler in my crawl space rather than my closet. It was really nice. Changing the air filter will suck now, but that is once a month. For all of the year I will get that extra square footage to store things. The new unit is so much quieter, cleaner, and better at cooling. I didn’t realize how bad my AC was until I got a brand new one. I am glad that I let the guy talk me into an installation date.
